Having full root-level access means that you can access and update each file on a selected server, which includes all the system files, and to change system settings or set up server-side software which may be required by certain scripts and even offline applications in order to function efficiently. A server is accessed at the root level through a root user, which has full privileges to do all of the aforementioned tasks. Your root user can also generate various other users. For safety reasons, you're advised to have another account for everyday tasks and to use the root account only if you actually need to perform a task on the server. The root-level access feature will give you full control over your server from any existing location, provided that you have the user credentials.
Full Root-level Access in VPS Servers
You're able to control your new VPS servers at the root level whatever the package that you've chosen, as long as the server is ordered with either the cPanel or the DirectAdmin website hosting Control Panel, or without Control Panel at all. In the first case, multiple system settings can be managed via an easy to work with web-based interface, while in the second, you will need to make everything via a console, until you decide to set up a Control Panel yourself. Without Control Panel at hand, you will be able to access the server and customize its settings as well as the content which you upload using a console, whereas with cPanel and DirectAdmin, you'll use a graphical interface to control everything related to your web content, and also the majority of server-side settings. Needless to say, when you get a dedicated server devoid of Control Panel, you can install some third-party software tool manually, as long as it supports the Operating System that you have selected at signup. If you select the Hepsia Control Panel from the order page, you'll have limited root access, but you'll still be able to perform a number of things using a Secure Shell console.
